Export indoor rides to TrainingPeaks
Coached athletes and self-coached riders use TrainingPeaks for planning, analysis, and coach review. RitmoSync Pro saves sessions locally and exports standard FIT or CSV files — you upload manually. Nothing syncs to our servers or to TrainingPeaks automatically.
Free vs Pro
- Free tier — live power, cadence, and zones during the ride. Sessions are not saved to history.
- Pro ($39.90 one-time) — training history on your device, plus FIT and CSV export per session.
For TrainingPeaks upload you need Pro so the session is saved and exportable.
FIT vs CSV for TrainingPeaks
FIT is preferred. TrainingPeaks parses FIT files for power curves and session load metrics when your FTP is set in the file. CSV works for spreadsheets or custom analysis — including per-block Ritmo Power and Ritmo Intensity columns.
RitmoSync FIT exports include average and max power, cadence, duration, and — when FTP is set in the app — Ritmo Power and Ritmo Intensity in the session record.
How to export and upload
- Complete a workout with RitmoSync Pro active and FTP set in the menu.
- Open Training history from the app menu and select the session.
- Choose Export FIT — the file downloads to your device.
- In TrainingPeaks, go to Upload (web or desktop) and select the FIT file.
- Confirm the activity type is indoor cycling and that power data imported correctly.
For Strava-first workflows, see our export FIT to Strava guide — the RitmoSync export step is the same; only the upload destination changes.
Sharing with a coach
TrainingPeaks coach accounts can link to athlete accounts for automatic sync — RitmoSync doesn’t participate in that pipeline. Typical workflows:
- Athlete uploads FIT to their own TrainingPeaks account (coach sees it if linked)
- Athlete emails or shares the FIT file directly
- Athlete uploads to Strava and coach reviews there instead
You control every export — nothing leaves your device until you share it.
Privacy
RitmoSync stores workouts locally. Pro license validation is the only routine server call — ride history is not uploaded. Use Download my data in the app menu to back up all local sessions as JSON.
Common questions
- Does RitmoSync sync to TrainingPeaks automatically?
- No. Export FIT manually and upload to TrainingPeaks — same privacy model as Strava export.
- Will Garmin Connect or Today’s Plan work?
- Yes — any platform that accepts FIT or CSV activity files. Export from RitmoSync and upload to the tool you use.
- Why is Ritmo Power missing in TrainingPeaks?
- Set FTP in RitmoSync before the ride so the FIT session includes threshold and Ritmo Power / Ritmo Intensity. Re-export after fixing FTP if needed.
