Privacy Policy
RitmoSync is built around local storage: your workouts, programs, and settings stay on your device. This Privacy Policy explains what information RitmoSync handles when you use the web app, Mac application, iPhone application, and related services (collectively, the “Software”).
1. Summary
- No account required for the free tier — we do not ask for your name or email to ride.
- Workout data stays local — sessions, FTP, and custom programs are stored on your device, not on our servers.
- Bluetooth is used only to connect your trainer — power and cadence readings are processed on your device.
- We do not sell your data and we do not run advertising analytics inside the app.
2. Information stored on your device
Depending on which features you use, RitmoSync may store the following locally:
- Training session records (power, cadence, duration, zones, and related metrics)
- Custom workout programs and notes you create (Pro)
- App settings (FTP, display preferences, theme, and similar options)
- Pro license status after you enter a valid key
In the web app, data is kept in your browser (for example, IndexedDB and local storage). In the Mac and iPhone apps, data is kept in on-device app storage. We do not sync this workout data to a RitmoSync cloud service.
You can export everything the app has stored using Download my data in the app menu (JSON), or export individual sessions as CSV or FIT files where those options are available.
3. Information sent to our servers
Normal training does not upload your ride history to RitmoSync. The only routine network requests are:
-
Pro license validation — when you enter a license key, the app sends that key to our license
service (
api.ritmosync.com) to confirm it is valid. Ride data is not included in this request.
Standard web and network logs (such as IP address, user agent, and request timestamps) may be recorded by our hosting providers when you load this website or call our APIs. We use those logs for security and operations, not to profile your training.
4. Bluetooth
RitmoSync uses Bluetooth to discover and connect to FTMS-compatible smart trainers and power meters. Bluetooth permission is required on iPhone and Mac. RitmoSync reads trainer metrics (such as power and cadence) to display live stats and record sessions. That data is processed on your device and stored locally as described above.
Pair your trainer from inside RitmoSync, not from system Bluetooth settings, for the most reliable connection.
5. Purchases and third parties
If you buy RitmoSync Pro, payment and license delivery are handled by our checkout provider. That provider processes billing information according to its own privacy policy. We receive what is needed to issue and validate your license (such as your license key and purchase record), not your full payment card details.
If you export a FIT or CSV file and upload it to Strava, TrainingPeaks, or another platform, that upload is between you and that service — RitmoSync does not send files there on your behalf.
6. Support communications
If you email us at contato@gerarpix.com.br for help, we receive whatever you choose to send (for example, message content, device type, or screenshots). We use that information only to respond to your request and improve the product.
7. Data retention and deletion
Workout data remains on your device until you delete it in the app, export and remove it, uninstall the app, or clear browser storage (web app). Because we do not store your ride history on our servers, uninstalling or clearing local data may permanently remove sessions we never had a copy of.
License validation records on our servers are kept as long as needed to honor your Pro license and comply with legal obligations.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data. For data stored on your device, use Download my data or delete sessions in the app. For license or purchase questions, email contato@gerarpix.com.br.
9. Children
RitmoSync is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, email contato@gerarpix.com.br and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Software after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
